Welcome to Calgary Mindfulness weekly Sunday 15 minute practice! What a great way to start your day. In today’s practice, we move into several new anchors for meditation – mindfulness of thoughts, emotions and sound. Sound is a very good anchor for those who are easily distracted, and have a hard time staying focused on the breath. Also a reminder that our work in meditation is not about emptying the mind to become one with the universe, but about developing the mental and physical disciplines of focus, compassion and equanimity, and our anchors are basically tiny exercises to help us grow our ability to concentrate and acceptance.
